Learn how to align, heal, and enhance the 1st-6th Chakra centers, while also allowing you to experience higher realms of consciousness.  Cultivate your own authentic practice within awareness of  the mantras, mudras, meditation practices and yoga postures for each Chakra center.  Through these practices, you WILL shift into higher realms of consciousness.  

This class is suitable for both beginning and advanced students.

This session we explore our Chakra system as viewed in Yoga Philosophy.   Your Chakra system is more than just energy…each Chakra corresponds with a particular realm of consciousness.

We deeply engage with the first-sixth Chakras in this 6-week session. You will learn the Mantra for each realm, authentic breathing practices (pranayama) for each Chakra, and the sacred yoga poses that bring vitality to each Chakra.   We will also explore the philosophies for developing, and clearing each realm through guided meditation practices using visualization, and sound.   Expect to encounter that deep states of relaxed meditation, and an aligned Chakra energy system.


Chakra Energy and Consciousness: Highlights

CHAKRA-ROOTWEEK ONE:  Root Chakra | Muladhara
This is the first of the chakras of matter.  It is the Chakra that connects us to our physical world. Located at the base of our spine, it is the root chakra that governs over our physical energies, giving us a sense of safety and security with other people and ourselves.

chakra-sacralWEEK TWO:  Sacral Chakra | Swadhisthana
The word Svadisthana is Sanskrit for “dwelling place of the Self”.  This is the chakra that rules our physical manifestation, is the seat of our creativity and its balance determines how we see ourselves in the physical world. It is this chakra that allows us to experience our true desires, and governs our self-worth and our relationships with others.

chakra-solarWEEK THREE: Solar Plexus | Manipura
The Manipūra Chakra is the “City of Jewels” in which we find the pearls of clarity, wisdom, self-confidence and wellbeing. After opening and activing your levels of unconscious and subconscious in your first two Chakras, Mūlādhāra Chakra and the Svādishthāna Chakra, your consciousness reaches an important stage on the spiritual path. For once the consciousness has unfolded in the Manipūra Chakra there is a greater likelihood that you will be able to obtain the goal of Supreme Consciousness in this lifetime.

chakra-heartWEEK FOUR: Heart Chakra | Anāhata Chakra
Anāhata means “infinite” and “continuous”.  The Anāhata Chakra opens the doorway to Self-Realization.  Once activated, prana opens Divine Consciousness within.  This realm of consciousness is of Love or Bhakti.  Because this chakra is located in the center of the chest, it is also known as the Heart Center, and is the seat of Love.

chakra-throatWEEK FIVE: Throat Chakra | Vishuddhi Chakra
The Vishuddhi Chakra is a place of purification and balancing. The breath that flows through the throat, and through this Chakra, plays a critical role in the process of purifying the body, mind and spirit. Overall, Prānāyāma (conscious guidance and regulation of the breath) exerts a strong influence on the Vishuddhi Chakra, at both the physical and astral levels.

chakra-tird-eyeWEEK SIX: Third Eye Chakra | Āgyā Chakra
The development of the Third Eye Chakra, Āgyā, indicates that your wisdom reached the bridge to Divine Consciousness. This is known as the Guru Principle, because in this realm of consciousness, you have indeed become the Master of your own mind. The bridge of YOGA has been formed. The Guru Principle is recognizable within a person as clarity, wisdom (Gyānā) and the ability to discriminate between truth and untruth, reality and unreality (Viveka).

What to Expect…

Our cozy location provides us with yoga bolsters and blankets so we are able to enjoy our meditation practices while engaged in restorative yoga poses.

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.

Please arrive on time so that group meditation experiences are not disturbed.

Each week, there will be a short teaching from the Yoga Sciences and Philosophies, followed by a guided group meditation practice.


This course also offers you a guidebook and meditation practices to engage with each week as you cultivate a regular practice at home.
