SESSION ONE

INTRO INTO THE NIYAMAS

The Niyamas are the second limb of the 'Eight Limbs of Yoga' from the ancient Indian sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Niyamas refers to duties directed towards ourselves - inner observances.

SAUCHA

SESSION TWO

SAUCHA

Saucha translates to mean, ‘cleanliness’, but cultivating Saucha guides us  to recognize life-style habits that no longer serve us.  The practice asks us to release ‘impurities’ of the mind or negativity habits that may be limiting our full potential.

SANTOSHA

SANTOSHA

SESSION THREE

SANTOSHA

Santosha translates to mean  ‘contentment.’   Practicing this Niyama guides us into a state of consciousness of quiet joy so we can easily accept who we have been in the past, and also appreciate who we are right now along with what we have.

TAPAS

ISVARA PRANIDHANA

SESSION FOUR

TAPAS

Tapas translates to mean ‘discipline’ or ‘burning soul passion. This Niyama helps you to cultivate a sense of self discipline, that is aligned with the passion of your Soul Song and gives you courage to boot.  It is our inner wisdom that is often ignored and it’s the fiery inner "fuel" passion that will feeds your sense of purpose!

SVADHYAYA

SESSION FIVE

SVADHYAYA

Svadhyaya literally means ‘one’s own wisdom’ or ‘self study’.   Practicing self reflection, makes us more aware of why we do the things that we do, and why we respond emotionally with lack of awareness. Svadhyaya encourages us to always engage in learning, especially with whatever inspires and fascinates us, deepen our own knowledge and inner wisdom.

SESSION SIX

ISVARA PRANIDHANA

Isvara Pranidhana is best translated to mean, ‘surrendering to God,’ or 'surrendering to a higher power’ or simply letting go of our expectations.  Cultivating Isvara Pranidhana in your life will ease the "stories of the mind"  that cause you to worry, or have doubt, or  stressful thoughts about lack or limitation.  This Niyama offers you the opportunity to feel empowered in daily life.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS COURSE

Live Sessions on ZOOM.

All Winter Session Classes are hosted via ZOOM.

Expect to experience a deeper and more personal relationship with yourself!

Practicing the NIYAMAS is a very personal experience, and will expand your consciousness.  You will get to know your mind, intentions, and sense of purpose without the limitation of EGO.   An inner freedom will occur, and with that... a renewal of mind, body and spirit.  Additionally, if you are practicing yoga asanas on a regular basis, this course will have a great impact on your "inner" world during your sessions on the mat.

Q and A after each Session

At the end of each session is time for questions and answers.  We learn from each other when we share our experiences.

Weekly email support

In addition to the weekly printed materials, you will receive weekly emails with extra tips for insight and inspiration into that week's practice.

Private Coaching

Private Coaching mini-sessions are available at a discounted rate for enrolled students.   This is available if you wish to take your practice to a deeper or more personal level.
