Inner Kingdom
Across the great spiritual traditions, certain qualities appear again and again. Openness. Inner strength. Compassion. Purpose. Mercy. Wholeness.
The Inner Kingdom is a six-session exploration of these qualities through the wider lens of the wisdom traditions.
The Beatitudes will provide our central thread, while Buddhist teachings, the Yoga Sciences, the Bhagavad Gita, mystical Christianity, psychology, and other contemplative traditions will help us recognize how these same principles appear across spiritual paths.
This is a course about becoming more deeply established within yourself, meeting life with an open Heart, and about bringing the many parts of the inner life into greater harmony.
Blessed are the Peacemakers
AN ANCIENT TEACHING FOR A MODERN INNER LIFE
The word kingdom in these teachings points inward—toward a different way of seeing, and a different relationship with ourselves, one another, and the Sacred.
Across six weeks, we will approach these teachings with curiosity and openness, allowing ancient wisdom to become something living, relevant, and deeply personal.
No particular religious belief or background is required. Come with questions. Come with experience. Come as you are.

What we will Explore
-
OPENNESS
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
What becomes possible when we loosen our grip on certainty? We will explore humility, receptivity, surrender, and the freedom that appears when the Thinking Mind no longer has to know everything before Life can move.
-
RESILIENCE
Blessed are those who mourn.
Some experiences change us. We will explore how the Heart remains open through change, disappointment, loss, and the experiences that ask us to become larger than we were before.
-
INNER STRENGTH
Blessed are the meek.
Gentleness can be one of the clearest expressions of strength. Drawing from the Beatitudes, ahimsa, Buddhist loving-kindness, and the Bhagavad Gita, we will explore how to stand firmly within ourselves without becoming hardened, defensive, forceful, or controlling.
-
LONGING
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst.
What do our deepest desires reveal about us? We will explore love, meaning, purpose, beauty, belonging, spiritual longing, and the difference between desires that scatter consciousness and desires that point toward the deeper movement of the Soul.
-
COMPASSION
Blessed are the merciful.
How do we remain loving in a complicated human world? We will explore mercy, forgiveness, boundaries, discernment, human imperfection, and the ability to see ourselves and others through a wider field of understanding.
-
WHOLENESS
Blessed are the pure in heart.
What does it mean to become wholehearted? We will explore the thoughts, fears, loyalties, habits, identities, and desires that pull consciousness in different directions, and the spiritual practices that gradually bring mind, Heart, intention, and action into greater alignment.
