The Gnostic Gospels texts express ideas that were considered heretical in the second century, and scholars debate if the texts provide any truth about Jesus. Written mostly as teachings and not narratives, many enjoy these recently discovered treasures of insight.

SESSION TWO
The Gospel of Thomas, or the Hidden Sayings of Jesus, is a collection of 114 teachings, which communicate salvation and Life. Jesus in this gospel is not presented as the son of God, but is named as the Living Jesus, and HIs followers are called The Living Ones.

The Gospel of Truth is considered to be one of the earliest surviving sermons of Christian mysticism. It is a Christian sermon that focuses on the theme of salvation through gnosis, or acquaintance with God through the vehicle of the Holy Spirit.

The first several pages of this text are missing, but what remains is noteworthy. Mary Magdalene recounts the journey of her Soul's accent, and also states that Jesus declared that people of the world don't necessarily commit sin, but instead get tangled up in their passions.

The Gospel of Philip explores the nature of mankind, the sacraments, and the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. This gospel includes the importance of renouncing earthly concerns, the spiritual marriage of the soul with an angelic partner in Heaven, and the hidden meaning of Christian sacraments.

SESSION SIX
This gospel presents a story of the unfolding of Divine Mind and the implications for humankind. In this text, Jesus states that there is the ONE, the virgin spirit, the parent and father of all. Humans have become overshadowed by forgetfulness and need to return the nature of Divine Mind.

It is Best to view these texts with an open Mind.
These gospels are VERY different from the gospel narratives we are accustomed to in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. For that reason, it is best to arrive here with an open mind, ready to learn about the teachings of Jesus with NEW ears.
